Microbiology of food - Know about it

Presence of micro organisms in food causes food poisoning which is harmful for the human consumption. So, we must ensure food is served with the standard hygiene. And to identify the cause of food poisoning, the basic knowledge in microbiology of food is necessary. Microbiology of food is classified in four categories.

Bacteria
Bacteria are everywhere on the earth. It is very small organism which can be seen only by microscope. It requires food, moisture, temperature, oxygen, acidity as other living organisms.
Yeasts
This is one celled organisms and larger than bacteria which can be found everywhere. It requires food, warmth, air and moisture for growth. Yeasts are used in baking and alcohol production.
Molds
Molds are larger than bacteria or yeasts. But food which contains mold usually does not make ill. Mold does not require food and warmth but needs moisture and air. It can grow in cold, like in freeze. Yeasts are used in some cheese to create particular flavor.
Viruses
Viruses are smaller than bacteria. Viruses are also everywhere. Common cold is an example of virus.

American people with the Nepalese

Well, we Nepalese hear a lot about American People. There may be some reasons why do we talk about them? Humn, probably, they seem experts to our motherland for politics, aid, development, planning and etc, thou sometime they did not know what we want, what are our needs, what the real nepalese citizens deserve from them. And beside all, we thought they are really important to us because we are poor and they are rich.

I got an oppurtunity to visit the function held yesterday in US AID, Kathmandu, i like to thank Mr. Janak for his kind invitation. USAID has completed 56 years in Nepal working for development. And do remember the slogan :' From The American People'. And the objective is to bring better life to our country.

Yeah, i found very pleasure environment in it's office premises, well decored, good security, nice ambience, happy employees and much more. It looked like the USAID office is a piece of America.

I was thinking it would be better, if the American People will put their attention for peace and prosperity of Nation, approaching with the identification of real nepalese desires, beside the development issues. How could we believe the presence of development with out the self awareness for it's achievement in individuals. I understand it is a mix of challenge and problems, to implement this task in Nepal. Once nepalese stop to corrupt their own minds (which is happening with the lack of self awareness) it is sure that Nepal will be a peaceful nation. And if USAID can play a role in this matter, certainly the history of USAID in Nepal will be a hallmark to every nepalese hearts. That time we wont be counting the years USAID complete in Nepal but for sure we count much the result which may remark the history of Nepal. And this would lead USAID with a well understanding of Nepal, being a part of US Mission.

Crime or Sociopath? - Pukar & Praveena's Case

It was a great shock when i first heard from a friend that Pukar killed Praveena and then shot himself after a while. As i know the guy since long time, i never have found such attitude or thoughts in him. It was unpredictable and unexpected but the truth has bust my beliefs.

Well, now i am just thinking the incident to find, Was that a crime or sociopath? It would sound silly to think over the past matter but in contrast with the understanding of lives i akin to remind the past.

The question hits me much about the incident. But my question is different from police. Where did the weapon come from? is the question of police. What made him to do such evil? is my question. "Pukar did not use to exhibit any criminal behaviors at any circumstances" is the opinion of his family, close friends, relatives and others. So, how come finally he committed to kill Praveena and shot himself? Is this a hidden delinquency or criminal behavior on him? If so, what are the factors to cause this. I have no evidence or proofs to say exactly in this matter. What i am writing here, is my personal views and it may not be true.

The researches had expressed some factors to cause such happenings, Environmental and social factor is one of those. Criminal or delinquent behaviors are learned reactions which are not inherited attitude or character but it can be ill-assorted atmosphere and social or community situations, which most of the time are responsible to build the criminal or sociopath traits in people. The occurrence happened between Pukar and Praveena was also due to the dissatisfactions of unfulfilled desires and needs which probably conflicts with individual and society. Finally, i felt so sorry when Pukar lost his concentration for his and Praveena's further lives and also their families

I understand any society worthy of the name has laws. Many people believe laws from the very basis of society. Traditional societies are ruled by laws and modern societies have elaborated much systems governing, where both criminal and civil behavior matters.

Each society creates various laws to govern people's behavior. The criminal code, the set of laws that define crimes or criminal behaviors, generally forbids certain behavior. The civil code governs property rights and the rights of organizations and individuals. Each of us has a right to buy and own property, to use it and to live with no hassels because of some others' negligences. Likewise, every one among us has an obligation to act responsibly, and that includes acting responsibly in our business dealing.

Let me share little about ethical matters.

White collar crime is a fact of business life, so be on the outlook for it. Billions of rupees are lost anually due to fraud, theft, false insurance, embezzlement, bribery and so on. Customers, suppliers, shareholders and everyone else pays price for this. If you know of such activities , bring in to the attention of your company chief of legal service.

Sexual harassment is defined as unwanted repeated or aggressive sexual commentary or advances of sexual nature toward another person. It is illegal and it can amount sucide to professional.

Discrimination based on race, religion, ethnicity, gender, age, marital status or sexual preference is to be avoided from legal and ethical aspects. If you are honest with yourself, understand that you have prejudices to some degree. The goal is to be aware of them and not let them affect our behavior or relationships on job.

Business and politics have become linked in ways that distort the behavior and underline the standing of both institutions. So any leadership crisis you may experience in different part from self dealing by those in leadership positions in business and in parties at all levels of government.

Frustration sometimes!

We all are ambitious by human nature. You have some aspirations, i have some desires and we all have some wants to be fulfilled. Every one plans and struggle to achieve but what happens if we do not get the expected results! Confusion? Conflicts? Stresses? Controversy? Pain? Upset? Beside all these, we get frustration.

Many times frustration has been obstacle in one's success. And it is because of not his/her individual issues, it is due to many environmental & circumstances factors. Like, social situations block the path for obtaining cherished goals. Many social customs are becoming the potential matter for getting frustration for one's aim.

This could be a simple example.

Some communities do not allow for intercaste marriage. That particular society impose blockades though a young boy and girl fall in deep love. They are very motivated couple and deserve to marry each other but communities wont let this happen. This may cause frustration in them
